Assistant Director of Nursing
at Senior Care Staffing Client in California
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the shift. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility. Oversee the Infection Control Program at Meadowood. You will be required by the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization’s strategic plan and the goals.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience as an RN, preferably in a long term care facility or other related health care facility. Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long term care. Ability to read, speak and write English and to follow oral and written directions. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family, visitors and the general public. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel. Ability to relate information, concerning a resident’s condition in a meaningful fashion.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Current California RN License
Current CPR certification.
